J-Link EDU Includes
The J-Link EDU emulator is our standard 8.08.00 J-Link emulator wrapped in a new educational marked housing. Please note; an educational use terms window is displayed when connecting the J-Link EDU device to your host PC. The J-Link EDU includes support for our GDB Server and Flash Breakpoints enhancement modules. All of this expected and extended emulator functionality is now available to private persons and students who want to educate themselves in programming and debugging of ARM, Cortex, and Renesas RX embedded systems.

The J-Link EDU is natively supported by the IAR EW, KEIL µVision, Rowley Crossworks, CodeSourcery G++, and Renesas HEW. With the use of our GDB Server module, the supported tool-chains also include Atollic TrueStudio, Yagarto, and other GDB based development environments.

The Flash Breakpoints option allows the user to set an unlimited number of breakpoints within a device’s internal flash memory while debugging. This overcomes the hardware breakpoint limitations present in most common microcontrollers.

Who is This Offer For?
The J-Link EDU is sold to private persons, Colleges, Schools, Universities and NPOs (Non Profit Organizations) for educational purposes only. It is not sold to companies. Sale to private persons is one unit per person. SEGGER reserves the right to deny this offer to anybody in case of doubt that this unit is used for educational use. We are aware of the tight budgets students have available. Therefore the J-Link EDU now offers students and hobbyists the ability to explore the full feature set of the SEGGER J-Link at a much reduce price point.
